The Fleet's In
« on: September 12, 2009, 07:22:56 PM »
Posting up some pics of my favorite hobby.

First up is the best vehicle I have ever owned, my 1997 Dodge Ram.  After 12 years, it's still going strong

Next up is the first of my project cars, a 1973 Chrysler Imperial 2 door.  Code name:   Blackie

And then there is Red, my other 1973 Imperial 2 door.  Together, both Blackie and Red are scheduled to be re-worked into one car, with the best parts from both to form one classic custom.

Last but not least (othewise, she gets mad and smokes her brakes) is Smokey, my 1969 Chrysler Imperial 4 door hardtop.  Not a project car per se, but lets me get my hands dirty while I wait on the other two to be finished.

You can check on the progress of the 2 door project here: http://imgoingbacon.blogspot.com/  It needs to be updated somewhat, but you get the idea.

Thanks for letting me bore you to death!

Awesome cars.  My Dad and Great Uncle drove nothing but Chryslers for many years.  We had a 1965 Chrysler 300 Series and the 1977 New Yorker.  My Great Uncle bought a new New Yorker every year until the mid-1970's.

This was the 300 Series we had, excepting ours had the white vinyl top

LOL.  I should have been in that 'yard' in person.  Evidently, there were several cars that I could have chosen.  Check out the red Toronado in front of my Red.

Dude you need to bring those to Washington Indiana next weekend.  We have our 38 th anual 20th Century Chevy cruise in.  There will be over 1000 cars on display.  Always facinating to see all these cars restored to their orginal beauty and or modified.  Always a great time and a good way to spend a saturday night and sunday afternoon in the park.

Check out this website..
