Once I got the idea to shave my head, nothing would satisfy the itch until I actually did it.

I agree 1000%. Once you think about it, you'll notice A LOT more bald people, with all different bone/facial structures and start to compare them to yourself. You'll see that MANY different types of people can rock the bald look with ease. Like others have said, post a couple of pictures and we'll all gladly give you our honest opinions.

Thanks for posting and welcome to SBG!

I am not someone who is dependant on my hair for confidence.
2007 is the best time in recorded history to sport a shaved head, and it's legit cool.
The deal is...I am not sure whether it will work for me.
But I wonder about my skull.  Then I wonder about how my face will look.
Essentially, I don't care if I shave my head and become worse looking. I can deal with that. I am simply worried that...I will shave my head and become very ugly.
Call me vain or whatever, but I really have no interest in looking really bad all the time.

Howdy Aspire!

All of your concerns are duly noted; and I'm fairly certain that the vast majority of Sly Guys here has had one or two (or all) of those thoughts rolling around in his fuzzy noggin before he decided to make the move.  I know I did.

Judging by your thoughtful comments, I think that you're probably not quite ready to go Sly.  But that's OK.  You need to stay within your comfort zone.  However, you should consider this:

Even in the worst-case scenario---you shave your head and you completely hate the way you look---if you only shave once, your hair will grow back to clippershave length within 72 hrs....and to a #1 buzzlength within a week.

Or....you may shave your head and find that you've stumbled upon your best look ever.   8)

The old saying applies here, Aspire....nothing ventured, nothing gained.   :)

Good luck with your decision, and keep us up to date.

Aspire, thanks for sharing that with us and joining SBG. I echo what the others have said.  While you're thinking about it, hang out and get to know some of the guys.  It may help you make it easier to decide to shave it.

Tom McGarry.:
Welcome to the group Aspire, I too agree with the others. Please don't take this the wrong way, but given all that you've said, then why haven't you shaved it off already? I mean you said several times that you don't have a problem "Rockin the bald look" then you follow it with alot of but's. So if you realy don't have a problem, then I say go for it, what you have will grow back. Again please don't take this the wrong way.

OzPete:
Welcome, Aspire.
