I am actually in Northwest Arkansas. I hope I dont make too many enemies by saying.

Welcome Kevin, and best wishes to your wife for a speedy recovery.  Little did you know that you would find a whole bunch of great, caring guys for support when you went surfing.  After your wife's recovery, don't let that hair grow back on your head; it's a great look for you.  It can also serve as a reminder to your wife of your love and support for her.

yes.. I like the way you think.. I really like this look!!!  "Honey, I really want to keep the shaved head to serve me a reminder of etc.. " It might just work.. I will keep this baby.. I love the baldness.. Makes me feel free..

Aloha Kevin: welcome to the SBG's Club... I too am joining the prayer chain for your wife. Now, after shaving each others heads, you can do the head rubs( high RPM's = Rubs Per Minute) Enjoy the forum- much fun & education in the way of the SLY.
