Offical SlyCon 09 BBQ Sauce.
« on: July 27, 2009, 10:18:17 PM »
Well, I am not sure it is the offical SlyCon Sauce or not...because I think Patron might take the "Sauce" spot..lol  Oh well, I am gonna say it is, because everyone absolutely loved it.  Put it this way, out of 38 pieces of chicken there was none left.

If you should decide to make this, I would recommend making about 3 times the amount that the recipe calls for.  You want to keep basting the chicken, ribs or what ever you so choose to add this sauce too.

SLYCON 09 BBQ Sauce

1/2 cup Jim Beam Bourbon whiskey  ( or add up to a cup, what ever suits your taste)
1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar...not light brown
1 cup Ketchup
2-3 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 tsp dry mustard
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 red pepper powder
Mix this all together and make sure you are using this on a charcoal grill.  The propane grill didnt not work as well.  On the first turn of the meat, start basting.

Thanks Timmay!

For those who weren't there, this was amazingly good chicken!  I'm definitely going to have to save this one, right alongside the Cajun spices I bought.

on a side note.  This recipe is as close as I can get it in measurable form.  I normally do not measure, I just start adding.  YOu can tweek it how ever you feel it needs.  HAPPY GRILLING!
