Noodles has given you a taste of what is happening here, maybe this is what happens in every city whose team goes to the SB, but I think a few things are unique.1)Whitney National Bank--staid, old line bank, survived the Depression, never closed--Friday afternoon, 3p--a tailgate party in the downtown main branch, jazz, food, everything bleeding black and gold-just unbelievable.2)Schools are closing tomorrow--yeah, in an educationally challenged area they are closing schools so the kids don't have to worry about it today.3)Tulane Unversity--no tests or quizes or papers can be given or be due on Monday4)Stores are closing before the game to give their employees time to get home to watch the game.5)As far away as Jackson, MS, everyone is wearing black & gold, the Who Dat Nation is expanding. And that is just part of what's happening and we haven't even won yet. GEAUX SAINTS. Who Dat Say?
I just hope there's no rioting in the streets like we've seen in other cities. Sadly, resident idiots of championship cities use a championship as a license to trash their hometowns. I have a feeling N.O. will be different. Well, I'm hopeful.Congrats Saints!
