Víctor Valdés, Spanish football goalkeeper who currently plays for FC Barcelona.
BBC
Hairy, no problems of hairloss but he prefer to wear headshaves or ultashort buzzcuts.

Likely to induce some eye rolling but I was in my teens in the late 90's during the height of his popularity so i'd have to go with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Dude was a badass!

With it being our national sport and all, why not have a look at some of the Premier League players who rock the sly look...
Pepe Reina - Liverpool
Gretar Steinsson - Bolton
Tim Howard - Everton
Bobby Zamora - Fulham
Andy Johnson - Fulham
To be honest I could go on and on. Seems to be very popular in football culture at the moment.

Some of my favs...Ray Allen, Dwayne Johnson, Magic Johnson (my all-time fav athlete thus my "32" in my username). My list is probably 100 strong but those three are enough. lol
