Twice a day shavers...

I shave before my shower.
I always use plenty of moisturizer afterwards and never have a problem with scalp irritation. Often right after a shave I'll apply a little bit of mineral oil (which is just baby oil without the fragrance added) to my scalp and then run the razor over my dome again. Then into the shower. I'm not sure the mineral oil doesn't wear down the blades but, after my shower, my scalp is smooth and VERY soft. That sure gets me a lot of attention (some of the attention is unwanted, but, what can you do?).

I'm glad I read this post.  I shave in the AM and my head feels like a baby's tush.  But by evening, it feels like sandpaper.  I may have to do the twice-a-day myself, especially if I have an event to attend to that evening.

Update:  Just gave myself a quick evening shave...SWEET!  Now it feels smooth again!

Twice a day seems excessive imo, but some Sly bros are more dedicated than others.

I am usually a morning shaver.  But if I am feeling sticky and dirty enough to take a shower when I get home from work, then I usually shave the stubble down.  I also do that before going out socially sometimes.
