Same question larger head...
« on: June 28, 2009, 11:49:02 AM »
Ok folks,

I know asking "the question" in here is like asking a bunch of drunks if they want a six pack but here goes...To shave or not to shave? Mind you my head is one where XL hats are tight on. I don't know what's inside because it certainly ain't brains but mines a whopper. Whattcha think?

Head size doesn't matter. Why would it?

If you're worried about it looking "too big", I find that when shaved, a head looks smaller because it doesn't have the fluff making it look bigger than it is.

Just go for it. if you decide it isn't for you, it grows back far faster than most of us care for.

Yep I agree, there is no bad head type! If I were you I'd do some reading around here and then tomorrow I'd go out and buy some shaving products to suit the  need and I'd shave that head as bald as you can get it. I know that is pretty  much what you expected but it's the truth! Shave it every day for 30 days in a row and then decide what you want to do. But we all know what it should be.
It's all about attitude!

7 7/8 here, as large as they make hats, and they're kind of tight--leave a hat band line!

Advice from this large melon, don't let the sun set on the balding dome, make it clean, clear, and enjoy the Sly Life.  Other advantage--it's a lot easier to put sunblock on without it looking like a real mess!!  Save sun burns since hats are hard to find at our end of the spectrum.

Sellitman,  I wear a 7 3/8 hat size.  That's big (not as big as some of the Sly Bros) and I'm only 5'8" tall.  I think my head actually looks smaller shaved.

Get rid of the horseshoe and your face will become more oval in appearance giving the impression of you being slimmer.

My 2 cents worth.

We share head sizes and wives who don't want us bald. I know I will shave I just keep chickening out once I look in the mirror. lol

Don't mean to sound mean, but guy, JUST DO IT, ask forgiveness, not permission, and in the final analysis, as many have pointed out here, just remind your "Dear One" did she ask you about her last change at the "hair dresser?"  Get it off, get it off now, let the shards fall where they may.  Whose head is it anyway?  Feel free, FEEL SLY, Live a little.

You're being too harsh on yourself about the size of your head.  Do it, your wife will eventually come to like it, maybe even love it!  8)

I just saw this one and realized you did it about 24 hours later.  Large heads really work clean and smooth.  It's really nice, and the goat is working too now. Great Combo.
