• Hi, thanks for your time.
  
  I'm 19.5, not currently undergoing MPB, but all the guys in my family are predisposed to it, and so I'm pretty sure that by the time I will approach my late 20's, I really will have to decide to shave it all off (after going thru some time of not being able to hide it anymore).
  
  
  1) Is it truly possible to know how you will look shaved bald without actually doing it? Imagining?
  
  I have been pulling my hair back and trying to imagine it, but I think this is inaccurate because sometimes I think it will look bad, sometimes I can imagine it and say, "Hey it might not look too bad".
  
  2) My HUGE concern is head shape. I've got a longish face/jawline, narrow nose (I've been told I have delicate features?). Anyway, I don't think my head is too large/small, I think its normal sized, my concern is my forehead that kinda slants or slopes. I'd like to have a higher forehead, so I believe (based on  imagining, yea I know, maybe not accurate LOL) that my head will have a higher point towards the back and will slightly slope downwards. You know, maybe I won't look that ridiculous, but I'd have liked that more perfect shape.
  
  3) I figure that if you have MPB you can't really choose the card you are dealt anyway and you just embrace whatever head shape you have? I'm a good looking guy, I suppose I'll still look good shaved bald, no matter how the shape is.
  
  4) Can you guys share any thoughts, opinions, or advice? Thanks.
  
  
  Well, thanks for answering and your advice. With luck I will learn to overcome my hesitation and one day will become a sly bald guy.

  How does a bald head do with different body shapes?
  
  I'm sort of athletic build more on the thin side ( 5'10'', 150 lbs). I started working out a few weeks ago, cause I was sick of being so scrawny looking LOL.

• Everybody worries about their headshape; usually it turns out to be a non-issue.  Buzzing you hair short will give you an idea of what your head is shaped like. But if you really want to know for sure, shave it all off and see. Then you won't have to worry about it anymore. It grows back quickly.

• Just shave it off and have someone take pictures or a video of your head from different angles.  If you don't like the look, you can wear a had till it grows back.  It might be better to wait till the winter if you plan on wearing a toke.  Lots of guys wear other kinds of hats all year long.  There is a website that will balderize your picture but I recently checked and they're charging money now.  If you shave your head, it will grow back and cost nothing but at least you'd know how you look.

• You can go here http://www.baldlygo.com/ and upload a current photo of yourself and they will send you back some images of what you may look like bald, in various stages, from the horse shoe to completely Sly.

• Buzz it down with a 1 guard.  This will give you a good idea what your head shape is like.  Most of us were paranoid about head shape at one point or another, but once shaved it was no longer an issue!

• Not to minimize your concerns, which we understand are very real to you, but yeah, everyone worries about those concerns. Usually turns out to be a non-issue.
  
  In fact, the most common post-shaving reaction: "what the hell was I waiting for?"

• Yeah, what they said. Especially Bald Bear. Most people in your shoes say "Why the hell didn't I do this sooner?"
  
  We are our own worst critics, while I do not have MPB to worry about and am BBC I still understand where you're coming from. First couple times I shaved my head when I was younger, everyone told me I looked like a cancer patient. But now, 45 pounds and a few years later, I have the intimidation factor that I love. It will be great when my daughters start dating.
