Did I mention I had a strong aversion to cameras and mirrors?
THat picture is one reason why. I hate looking at myself!
A woman at work was trying out her new camera one day and took my picture. I told her to delete it and her response was "kiss my ass." My immediate reply was "My lips are not that big." I spent months refusing to apologize. After all, I had only commented on my own physical attributes.
Had I have looked at any of those pictures, I might have made the jump to sly much sooner. Now it does not look like I am pathetically trying to cover the obvious even though that was never my intent.
Antimidas, that picture shows that you not only shaved what was left of your hair, but also shaved years off your appearance.
That took guts to post.
Thanks SaintC! Posting it was not easy, but illustrates the point better than anything I could ever write. If it helps one person see the ridiculousness of fearing a shave, then I did my good deed with it.
I have to cosign with crazy.irish.celt. You can't ask the opinons of others-big mistake bro! Like Nike, you "just do it".
In my case, I've always had a full haid and balding in my family was later down the road. However, I was tired of the hirsute look and got my head shaved first to a #2 and then to a #1. Currently, I'm "near skin" with less hair than my 16-month old son has! I know that there will be folk (including my sweetie) who will be shocked at my new look.
But go for it bro! Don't ask, don't seek the opinions of non-baldies (or non-buzzies), just do it!
All the best!
