"I won't look good with a shaved head." - for the guys on the fence!
Mr Jules:
Well said, Waine.
People judge you by what you do, not what you say.
Andrei:
I remember the days when i used to go to the barber for a haircut.
Nobody could guaranty that my haircut will look good (not even the tip): perhaps the barber has a bad day or I cannot explain him good enough what I want or simply the haircut I want is not for me, but until I do the deed, I could not tell for sure if it suits me or not.
Same goes with a shaved head, once cannot know if it suits him/her.
And if it comes down to take a decision, wouldn't you prefer to be your decision instead of your friends/co-workers/... You will be living with it.
Plus, hair grows back.

waine:
This may sound a little crazy, but one of the attractions to sly (there are many) for me was the "being different" -- “being daring” aspect. Life can get so monotonous sometimes and changes can be extremely gratifying. Besides going through the hair loss and thinning hair phase, I was so bored with my hairstyle. I was toying with the idea of going bald also as an expression of being different. Often we say, "Ah, I don’t care what people think of me", whereas we do deep down inside. Going sly taught me to literally practice that adage. Now I can truly say, “I do not care what people think of my dome!”
(I have said this before) Having said that, I may have been a little more self conscience in my young 20"s, -- you know? Those courting days. I mean perhaps now, due to my age and the fact that I am happily settled, it is much easier to "Not care what people think."
