A proper product review for the summer, HeadBlade Headshade. I think SBG.com has done a fantastic job advocating and informing it's members of proper dome protection from UV rays. A big cancer hole on your head is certainly not sly.... so wear your damn sunscreen!
Now for the reviewScentThere is a nice citrusy smell to this product, which I like!
TextureThis product is oil free, so it sits nice and light on your head. I don't think many SBG enjoy the feeling of a thick sunscreen plastered on their head.
Ingredients
The active ingredients are:
Octisalate, Octinoxate, Homosalate and Oxybenzone.Everything checked out fine and I would venture to say HeadBlade choose wisely when picking out these oil-free sunscreen ingredients.
PerformanceHeadShade does it's job well. It's SPF 15, which gives you enough UV protection while still allowing you to get a little color on your dome. It's also very sweat and water resistant, which is a huge plus! Also, HeadShade gives your dome a nice sheen to it, which suits well for outdoor activities.
Price and PackagingHeadShade is retailed at $11.97, which is a fair price for how long the 4oz bottle will last you (quite a while). I actually bought 3 bottles of these for $3 each at Sally Beauty Supply last winter, so that certainly helps this category's review!
Final Thoughts and GripesI really like this product. HeadBlade definitely saw the need for dome protection from UV rays and they delivered. I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially considering it's summer. Now go and enjoy some sun and what the summer has to offer!
