Hello Everyone from the sunny UK,

Its been a while since my last post!

I normally trim once or twice a week using a Walh balding clipper and Walh detailer with the T-wide blade, but in the summer months especially when on vacation in hotter climes I tend to shave 3-4 times a week with a Panasonic ES-R31 Electric Shaver.

I have been looking at the Andis ProFoil Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver as an option to replace my Panasonic shaver, but wondered if anyone on these boards had any experience of these two shavers?

I'm not too fussy about which shaver cuts closest, as I'm use to trimming anyway. The Panasonic does take everything off and leaves you totally bald  :@`

What I did want to know is how the Andis ProFoil Lithium Titanium Foil Shaver and Panasonic ES-R31 electric shavers compare in terms of

1. Easy of use.
2. Power and speed of shaving.
3. Time between emptying shaved hair.
4. Holding charge.
5. (go on then), closeness of the shave  O:O

Any other pros and cons???

I'd like to thank everybody in advance for the help, guidance.  O0

Sorry, can't comment on those 2, sometimes I use my trusty old 3 foil head Remington. It takes it down bald nearly as close as a blade, by not quite.
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Sorry for the delayed response, but this is the first day I've had off since ???...But I have an Andis foil shaver that I use when I go longer than three days or are short on time. It cuts pretty close and leaves me smooth for about six hours  if I don't follow up with a wet shave. It does pretty good on the chin as well. I don't have a Panny so I can't compare the two, but just thought I'd give you my experiences with the Andis.

1 1/4 inches give or take and they're gold

It's double foiled and it's about 1/4 wide

Sorry Harry I'm a bit confused. What is the measurements of the foils running the width of the shaver. Eg across the front where the Andis wording is? Cheers

It's 1/14 inches across where Andis is and 1/4 inch from front to back. It's angled.

Thanks for the info, you've been very helpful. How does it compare to other electric shavers you've used?

My Panasonic has 3 foils, that are 1 1/2 wide and 1 inch deep, so assume it would cut faster and more accurate?

Enny I also have the Wahl Super shaver which is similar. The Andis is better on the head than the Wahl slightly, but they're both more effective with about at least four days growth. The Wahl is excellent for shaving the chin. When I go longer than five days my best results came from using the Wahl first, the Andis second and an ATG wet shave third. I also have my trusty Andis T outliner but I invested in the foil shavers after getting a scalp tattoo last summer. Just like having a selection of razors, having a selection of shavers is good for wear and tear reasons. It's kind of like having a nice selection of players on your sports team (I'm happy with the depth of razors and shavers that I have)
