A decision to make..... [Beard update]
« on: November 26, 2015, 11:59:18 AM »
Hi guys.

Not long ago, I posted some pictures of my "beard-to-be" and it was in it's early stages.
Today I'll be bringing you some pictures of my current "beard", but I am not too sure about how it looks.

I would greatly appreciate some feedback since I am very unsure at the moment.

Anyways, here are some pictures.

As you can see it's very thin, and has some weird color to it.

Honestly guys, I am not too sure whether it should stay on or if it looks bad and I need to take it off.
I would very much like a fullbeard, but I am not able to grow one yet, so I have to go with this. This somewhat takes the attention away from my thinning, seborrheic dermatitis-plagued hair.

Anyways, thanks for reading.

I am looking forward to reading your feedback...

Kind regards,

Jonas

Most thick beards take at least two months to come in. A thin or young beard can take three.

The more it grows, the thicker it will appear. I would wait a while longer before making a decision.

I'd also keep it neatly trimmed while it's growing in.

Cave Dweller is correct.  When I first grew my beard at 24 or so, it took a LONG time for it to come in.  At 2 months it was just starting to look like something.  Seemed like forever, but I was living in rural Alaska at the time and nobody cared if the beard looked great or not.

As the years have moved along, the beard grows in thicker and faster.  Looks like you are still a young fellow, so that may explain the slow. It's normal for beard hair to come in a different color than other body/head hair.  Your's is quite blonde, which means it will take longer to look full than a guy with dark hair.  If you really want a beard, keep at it. It just takes time.

That's not a beard, just a tuft of chin hair. My opinion is shave it off, or at least trim it.
Bald by choice, and loving it!

My honest opinion is that it does not look good and is actually unattractive.  I say go clean shaven while you are young.  When you are old, your beard will grow a lot thicker and it will grow like wildfire.

Enjoy your youth and looking young.  You will be old before you know it and then you can grow a super-beard!

Cheers for the feedback guys.

I really do appreciate it.

My parents told me I should shave it off too, but I was really resistant as I was sure it would make my hairloss seem less noticeable, but I guess that's an illusion.

In honor of movember, I'll keep the moustache, though.

Cheers again,

Jonas.

Color variations in beard hair are common.  You could also leave the chin puff trimmed shorter if you would like to keep it.  And like the others have said, the rest of your beard will likely mature as you age.
