Ask An Obvious Question II
« on: July 05, 2015, 06:31:59 PM »
"Do you shave it?"

The question comes from a youthful, female voice behind my back. I am volunteering at the front desk of our community pool checking in members and their guests.

I turn and see a young woman of maybe twenty years with a young man whom I assume is her boyfriend standing at the check in station. They both are wet and seem to be on their way out.

Ever the wise guy, I respond innocently, "Do I shave what?"

"Uh," she replies almost rolling her eyes at me, "your head!"

I suddenly take on a mask of mock horror, slap both hands onto my scalp, and start groping/rubbing them around as if I am trying to find something.

"OH NO!" I exclaim. "Did it escape again?!?!"

"Quick!" I pant while turning around and pulling up my shirt to expose my back and shoulders, "Tell me if it's hiding down there!" (My back happens to look like something you would see being waxed on YouTube to the great amusement and mirth of several onlooker buddies.)

"Ewwww! Gross!" the young woman exclaims as she runs away toward her car.

Her boyfriend is cracking up and calls to her as he walks out, "Well, that's what you get for asking a stupid, personal question."

My wife says I am going to hell.

I'm laughing hard.  I read the story out loud to my family. The adult girls rolled their eyes.  I"m still laughing.

That's hilarious! I'll have to remember that if someone asks me that question.

Thanks for sharing.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

That's awesome!! Great story.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.
