At the dentist
« on: September 17, 2014, 05:18:32 AM »
Yesterday I was sitting in the dentist's chair for my 'cleaning'.  Jane is the hygienist who talks all the time to distract you from what's going on inside your mouth.

So she got on the topic of bald heads.  (side story .... Just had lunch with a tour bus driver who was SLY. Gave him a card to this site and he said he would visit!  The tour guide also asked for a card. Her 7 year old son shaves his head and she thought he would get a kick out of www.slylbaldguys.com, too!)

Well, Jane went on and one, saying that it looked good on me .... then said, "You know, I really can't remember what you looked like with hair!"  Made my day!

As you can see from my ticker it's approaching 3 years.  I see this lady 3x a year.  She can't remember what I looked like with hair. Nice. SLY is settling in.

A seven year old boy is shaving his head?   Wow.. I don't know if I would let a 7 y/o use a razor...or even a buzzer.    My son buzzes his hair sometimes, but didn't do it himself until he was a teenager.

I suspect that what she was talking about was a buzz, no guard.

I can't imagine a 7 yr old using a razor on his head.  But I can imagine a no-guard buzz with clippers, administered by mom or dad weekly or so.

Yeah, 7 seems a bit young for the bbc look. More power to him, though, if it's true.
Hair is over rated.

I also have a feeling the woman thinks a buzz cut is the same as a shaved head.

She would not be the first.

Is her son Caillou, the cartoon character? Otherwise, I cant see a reason for a 7 year old to be BBC.

Or maybe Charlie Brown? Maybe even Linus after one of his friends convinced him to shave off that thinning head of see through hair.
