Bald now at 20
« on: September 22, 2016, 01:41:55 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm 20 years old. I started to lose my hair when I was 17, and finally decided to shave it off. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Ever since, I feel like everyone avoids me. What can I do?

I think it looks good on you and the beard is a nice touch. Are people just not talking to you or are they giving you bad comments?

I concur with Harry. It does look good and I don't see a good reason why anyone would want to avoid you based on your appearance. Nothing to worry about man.

That really looks good, Ryhaines.

If people seem a little distant, it may be that they are not quite sure how to respond to a man's sudden change in his hair style. Sometimes people just get weird that way even when they like what they see.

The best way to deal with it is to be yourself and seek them out, then break the ice by mentioning the obvious change in some light, conversational way such as how you never contemplated how cool a breeze would feel on your shaved scalp.

Try and smile a little more and own it.  You look a bit forlorn in the photo and if that's a true representation of your demeanor, then that may be what people are reacting to.  Have have a great looking bald head.  Be proud and confident.

First , you look fine shaved.
Second , if  " you" like it , stay that way.
Third ,if you don't ,let it grow back.
Fourth , after a short while you and others will get use to the new look . The self consciousness will diminish.

Sorry you started loosing your hair at such an early age.  At least you have good beard growth for a 20 year old.  I suggest adding some more length on the beard to balance out your look a bit.

Looks great. You have quite the beard growing capacity for such a young man (saw the other photo). I agree with the others, smile. You have a great head. Let the beard grow out just a tad...

The shaved head looks good.  Give it time, embrace it, and I think you'll have no problems with other people in the long run.

Hey, hope you're keeping well. We'll we have all been there. My advice accept who are which is a bald man. You will never have the hair of 15 or 16 year old again
The faster you accept the situation the better (trust me I fought it I don't recommend you go down that path). Try to dress well you will be surprised what a boost it will give you and hit the gym as well. Eat healthy enjoy life
Most important pick a razor that suits you. Best of luck to you young man and please don't mourn for too long what is never coming back. People are not attracted to those with out confidence. I went bald around 25 when I shaved off but it started going around 19. If you are ever feeling down or want advice feel free to drop me a message. I've been in your shoes and help how however I can
Some men see things as they are and say why ?. I dream things things that never were and ask: why not ??
