30 day challenge
« on: January 06, 2009, 11:38:17 PM »
I have been been buzzing my head for over a year, in July I started alternating to shaving every so often... I have read in several different posts that it is a good idea to give being sly a full 30 day test drive.
I got a Gillette Fusion( previously had a Mach III(haven't noted any differences between these products)) for Christmas, I have shaved everyday this new year(2009).  I picked up a pack of blades today, so i guess I have decide to commit to the 30 day sly challenge.
anyone want to join me?....
I think I might post/blog my experiences here.

Good man,,,

the true way to know what SLY is all about is to live it everyday...

I mean are you really livin' as a bald dude, if you sport stubble (basically hair) 4 days out of the week?!

Enjoy your full SLY experience..

betcha keep it scraped bald from this point out! ;)

I started as a buzzer for about 3/4 months then went sly.  I like sly alot better.

Hi Duff, I started the 30 day challenge last November.

I must admit, I have occasionally eased off every day to every couple over that period as my scalp does tend to be a bit sensitive to daily scraping. Trouble is I hate that sandpaper feeling when I do  >:(

Good luck!

Duffrider -- good choice.  By shaving daily your skill picks up, the scalp toughens up, and you don't have to endure the every-other-day sandpaper.  For the first few months of my Slydom(e) he-he I monkeyed around with an electric razor because my first few attempts with a blade unnerved me.  I looked smooth but wasn't, results were poor, hated the velcro.  Once I committed to a daily blade shave, my skill improved, the quality of the shave increased wonderfully, and I remain stubble free all day.  Go for it...and stick with it!

Hah, well... I certainly don't care about my co-worker's hair the next office over. Sure he'd look better sly but really... I couldn't care less.

Funny how sometimes we feel other people would care about the hair on OUR OWN head as much as we do.
