I'm ending my Bald experiment, growing hair back...
« on: February 17, 2007, 12:40:46 AM »
Yes, I look like a chi pet now.  It's amazing how quickly it comes back.

1. For anyone thinking of shaving, go for it, it'll come back very fast!   1/2 an inch a month.

Why am I going back to the follicle crowd?

1. Tired of having to shave it so often to keep it smooth.
2. Tired of trying to get some color up there.
3. The ladies like my hair better.

That's pretty much it.

It's been fun fellows, but I'll now just be a sly hairy guy!  :-D

I may return to the exclusive club, time will tell.

I'll post a pic exactly one month after my last shave for you to see, should be fun.

Chad

What a shame  :(  From your avatar you really rocked the chrome dome!

Guess you got to do what you got to do.

I don't know though, 10 minutes to shave for all day slickness is too much?  I shave everyday and that's time well spent IMHO.

Color? That will come in time.  It is tough with it being winter and all.

I do understand how other people can rule your life by making you feel bad about what hairstyle you choose.  Having a women dictate your decisions on your appearance is super cool.

It is your head after all.  Whatever makes you happy.

It'll be a bummer to see you go, but you gotta do what's gonna make you happy.  If you get to the hairy side and things aren't going the way you thought they would, feel free to return back to your slyness.

Yeah...no need to leave the fellowship altogether.  In fact...I for one would be interested in periodic updates.

Confession:

My dad came into town from L.A. last week.  Two weeks prior, I stopped shaving just to have a little something up there to ease the shock to his 82-year-old ticker.

I gotta tell ya....I couldn't wait to shave it back to slickmeister!

I waved good-bye as he drove off last Friday....and then literally spun around and ran upstairs to shave that bean.

Haha, is this that new thing they call sarcasm?   :o

I'll still be around.  Being bald is a personal choice.  There is nothing to say a guy can go back and forth.

In the end I decided that I'd rather have the ladies digging on me vrs. guys thinking it looked cool.

It's a personal choice, but it's been fun!!!!

Hey, dude whatever makes you happy and keeping some lay-days on the arms is cool.  I find it strange that the lay-days aren't all bout the bald, seems like most of us have the females that prefer it smooth.  Keep us informed.

I think you should do hwo you feel the best.
I shave about twice a week. Not so often ... mainly because of razor burn.

You'll see if you like a little longer hair ... and if not ... you can always shave again.

Keep us posted witt pics. :)

Well Dude, I guess you realy gotta do what you gotta do. But if I may ask, how much time does it take you to wash and style your hair every day, and what about the days where you just can't get it right, not to mention the cost of  hair gel, shampoo, conditioner, mouse, combes, brushes, and maybe hair spray? Oh and as far as the ladies are conserned they seem to be a little shallow, if you ask me, I'd rather like a woman to like me for me, and not for my hair or clothes, or any superficial stuff like that. But that's just my two cents. I think that you'll return to the good side of the force sooner than you think.

You'll be back. One night you'll have a few drinks and think "man, I really liked being slick" then you'll do it.  ;)

Howdy Chad,

I can definitely relate to #1 and #3.

I've had my share of headshave fatigue, and I've flip-flopped quite a few times in the last 4 years.  It's OK to grow it back; we are not offended.  You may decide to try it again; or maybe not.  It's all good.  The important thing is that you tried it; now you know what it's like.

The MOST important thing is to be happy; life's just too short to have it any other way.
