It doesn't run in my family either. As far as I know, I'm the only one who's ever gone BBC. Now Tustin here, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Hair is over rated.

I went BBC last year for a cause for 7 months, this is when I was 56, then let it grow for 5 months to join in the "Go Bald for cancer" again. Now being SLY for 4 months. Guess will be SLY till the end of time,  ^-^

I started shaving my head almost 8 years ago whwn I was 57. I love the sly look. I wouldn't have it any other way now. People tell me I look younger now.

I like to compliment other guys too for a great looking dome. SOmetimes they reciprocate. Some times they don't.

Full sly 3 months ago at age 54 from a progressively shorter and shorter buzz over the last 5 years.

"Older guys" is resistant to definition.

When I was in my teens, older guys would have been in their 20s.
When I was in my 30s, older guys would have been in their 50s

It seems that with each ONE YEAR that I age, the "older guys" are TWO YEARS further away.

Going Sly increased the gap!

I first shaved my head in 1996 at a Jay Buhner Buzz Cut Night at the Seattle Mariners.  I did not start to shave consistently  until 1997, when I was 36.  I have MPB in my family and the front was recessing.  While the thinning was not too bad when I started shaving,  these days there is no doubt that I am Bald By Need!

I went from a short buzz to sly in 2010 at the age of 62.

I had long hair for many years and just decided to donate my pony tail to "Locks of Love" and try BBC for a while I was still very young when I did it, sixty-something.

At 63 back in 2004.  Always wanted to be sly but stupidly waited until then.  Can't imagine having hair although I will always keep my full beard.

I did so about 8 years ago at age 57. Should have done so a little sooner. People tell me I look younger. I like hearing that.

Same here. About 11 years ago at age 48 I did the deed. I had hair down to my shoulder blades one day and a smooth dome the next. I was shiny on top prior to shaving but the real reason for scraping my dome was deer flies.
