No pics today, but I went back to the Cobra Classic and got a great shave with Vitos Super coconut and Semogue 1305 (is that right Mel?) brush.

Outstanding shave this morning!

I got this razor maybe a month back but hadn't used it before:

Razor: Razorock 3 piece mirrored handle.
Blade: Perma Sharp Super
Soap: Tabac
Brush: Vie Long horse hair.

Dessert: witch hazel, 444 balm with Tactics aftershave.  Tactics cologne.  Smooth, fresh and feeling good!

Hi Brian:  How do you like the Vie-Long Horse hair brush?  How does it compare to your other brushes?

I tried a Wilkinson Sword blade today.  It was okay, but not great.  I'd rank it kind of mid-pack.

About the same results I had today using a, Lord for the 1st time in a vintage open comb Gillette...I give it a six.

Congrats to "npsbg" on his 1,000th post! O0

Wonderful shave today, after a workout at the gym:

Razor: schick injector adjustable
Blade: Schick
Soap: Derby shave stick
Brush: Derby boar

No witch hazel because I didn't have any there, just a shower then Razorock aftershave wax.

Glorious shave!

@Warhawk - Mel. It pains me to say it given the price difference, but the Injector mentioned above shaves easily as well as the Cobra...

Hi Brian:  Wow...glad that you had a great shave with the Schick Injector.  I am still glad that you decided to keep the Cobra Classic.  That is probably the best looking razor on the planet.  I was fortunate to participate in the CC Tour in BadgerandBlade and I enjoyed my week with that razor.  It is a great performing razor.

Razor:  Merkur 37C

Blade:  Feather

Soap:  Mystic Water Soap (Bay Rum)

Brush:  Semogue 620

I had an outstanding BBS face & dome shave today.  It has been awhile since I used the Mystic Water Soap.  The Mystic Water Shave Soap (Bay Rum) is an incredible shave soap that I highly recommend.  It gives great lather and protection and leaves the skin feeling good.  Michelle of Mystic Water Soap gives great customer service .

Hi Mel,
the horsehair isn't one of my favourites.  Either it takes a really, really long time to break in, or it's just always going to be a bit scratchy compared to my boar brushes.

I may have been too hasty in my review go the Wilkinson Sword blades.  I've been using one for a few days now and have come to like it.  It seems to be pretty forgiving if I get a little too quick with my shaving.

They are my go to blade for a good shave.

Razor:  Weber ARC w/ Bulldog Handle

Blade:  Super Max  Titanium

Soap:  Mystic Water Shave Soap (Bay Rum)

Brush:  Semogue 620

I skipped my face shave today & I had a great BBS head shave with my Weber razor.  It has been awhile since I used the Super Max Titanium blade.  Thanks to our own Waine.... I was able to get the Super Max Titanium blades from a blade exchange several months ago.  I am glad that I revisited these blades.  The Super Max Titanium blades do not get enough love in the wet shaving community.  These blades are sharp, smooth. and unforgiving.  I highly recommend them.

Highjacking the thread again to go OT:
Which safety razor is a good starter?

I'm talking about a keeper, without need to upgrade later!
It can cost a little more too as long as it's really worth it...Christmas coming up and all!  ::)

Thx,
Rob
