Buying headblade lotion ???
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:16:49 PM »
If I'm posting this in the wrong section then my apologies.
I went to try to buy some headblade matte lotion.
Checked the site the see the retailers and checked out the ones in my area.
(Walgreens, Winn Dixie)
The selection of product was horrendous.
Walgreens: headblade sport, HB sport cartrages, and headslick.
Winndixie:  headslick.

However when I ordered the atx kit from headblade
It was something like 13.00 usd for shipping.
(Pretty steep)

I got a bunch of one dollar off coupons when I ordered,
But I can't use them if I can't buy the products.

I'm in a dilemma here cause I want a 8 ounce bottle of matte lotion.
But I don't want to have to spend 9.00 on the bottle
Plus another 13 fillers for shipping   :(

Am I just looking in the wrong places???

Any advice will help out big time.
I'm out of the sample they sent.

   Thanks in advance.

My experience has been that the products sold in the stores is as you found ... quite limited.

I've ordered several times from HeadBlade.com using the discount code from SBG (worth 20% off) and usually get several items at once which makes the shipping more reasonable.

The other source has been Amazon ... prices vary widely and it just takes some time to eventually have a sensible price emerge.

Shipping won't be as expensive if your buying just one product, HeadBlade calculate the cost off weight of packaging.

Edit: oh I see you only bought the ATX kit, well that is expensive!

Frontier-
I suppose that may have to be my solution.
Buy a 6 month supply of the products I like.
Anyone able to steer me toward a current
Discount code?

It is in the discount section on the forums, I can't remember it off the top of my head, but you can also click on one of the ads and it add it for you automatically.

And the discount won't appear until you review your order prior to confirming it.

During my last trip to the US (Maine, New Hampshire) I thought I saw HeadLube Matte in either Walgreens or RiteAid. Can't remember which.

I bought HeadLube SPF Matte at one and at the other bought HeadSlick and the newer HB Sport (since can only get the all yellow one here). The slick was on sale.

Fill out the contact us form on the Headblade website and  tell them where you are located, they can likely point you to a retailer in your area.

..and for the discount, just click on one of the Headblade ad banners on this site and that will automatically fill in the code for you.

Also, look at this page:
http://www.headblade.com/retailers.html

Some of the online retailers offer free shipping (some at a particular amount).

Thanks...
I decided my best bet was to do the few month supply at a time.

When deciding on how much is a few months supply, be aware of how long it lasts.  For me, HeadSlick lasted 8 months and HeadLube almost a year. They are the 8 oz bottles.

Soooooo -- Australians aren't the only ones paying too much for shipping from headblade -- that makes me feel a bit better.

Don't forget to look at what other stuff they sell which might make the postage per item cheaper. I bought some of these http://www.headblade.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HB&Product_Code=6005&Category_Code=C100000 at a great discount. They are the best sunhats that I have ever worn bar none. And, you live in Florida so you must use sunhats. Incredibly light and cool.
