Mt Rushmore
« on: September 08, 2014, 10:31:43 PM »
I was at the evening lighting ceremony at Mt Rushmore on Thursday night.  At the end of the presentation they asked all of us veterans to come down to the stage and help to retire the colors.  Man, there were a lot of us!  But how did we all get so old?

They passed the microphone and asked each of us to introduce ourselves, giving our name, hometown, branch of service and rank.  It really made me feel good!

Sure was a far cry from the late 1970's when I was refused service in restaurants when I had my uniform on!

That's awesome!  That would have given me chills.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

What a great story, sir.

That really must have been something to see.
