Jeopardizing my man card
« on: May 29, 2016, 07:33:26 PM »
Never let it be said that I'm not open to new experiences.  Today I ended up -- of all places -- in a nail salon.  ;D    I somehow chipped the nail on my left middle finger about halfway down, far below where it could be trimmed.  I tried to file the jagged edge and managed to just make it worse.  It was just a matter of time before it got snagged on something and torn, which would have been very painful.   I was on my way to the drugstore to get some superglue to glue it in place, when I passed by the nail salon.  I figured they would probably know how to fix it.  I felt a bit like a fish out of water, but with some gluing and a lot of filing, they were able to patch it up good as new.     :D

Hi Rob:  That is hilarious, my friend. :D  Glad that you got it fixed which was your main goal at the time.  Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

Nothing wrong with a little pampering now and again.

I have a bad habit of biting my finger nails so my wife gave me a gift certificate to a men's spa to have a manicure and pedicure. It was pretty nice - I was offered a drink (of the alcoholic kind) when I arrived and the whole experience was pretty nice. But, I still bite my nails!

Hey, I will take a pedicure any time it is offered.

I just leave my man card at the front desk and collect it when I leave.
