Hey, I just registered here and I'm wondering if I should just shave my head completely.  I'm 21 but my hair is receding quite badly but up until today I've just been sort of covering it up by growing my hair out.

This was me about 6 months ago and my hairline was just as bad as it is now but I tried my best to hide it  ::)

My hair last week, but still cut in a way to hide my hairline!

But this morning I decided that I had enough of hiding my receding hair and thought I should just be myself, so I used a 7mm guard and cut it really short but I'm not convinced it was such a good idea, should I shave it completly and maybe that will look better? I feel that since I'm only 21 I might not be able to pull off a clean shaven head? What do you guys think?

Ur a brve dude, but you definately can get away with a badl head.

After reading everyones posts I thought I might as well give it a go, so I buzzed it off with no guard and I instantly liked it! I think it looks a lot better than when I done it with a 7mm guard so I'm pretty happy.  Thanks for all the encouragement, I wouldn't of done it without all the posts  O0

Definitely rocking the LOOK bro.  But wait until you FEEL the noggin when shaved slick smooth.

Aces, brings out the strength of your face.  And now you don't have to worry about that receding hairline either.  Enjoy, O0

SLY is definitely the way to go for you: I can tell even with the very short buzz.  Shave it right off: smooth is so much better than stubble.  You rock the look O0

Looks terrific.   O0  Go ahead and take the blade to it.  It won't look much different, but it will feel awesome.

Its definitely time to take the blade to it. For me, there was a big difference between no guard and cleanly shaved. I knew as soon as I rinsed my head and looked up in the mirror for the first time that this was the look for me. Good luck.

Lewis, one word:  EXCELLENT!  Now it is absolutely clear from your transformation that you would own the slick-smooth-down-to-the-wood SLY.  I think you ought to give it a try, and I'm pretty confident you will love it.  But even as-is, with the no-guard buzz, you now have a great, unique look, one that says I've taken this balding gene by the horns and tied a knot in its tail.   O0
