Breakfast cereal.....
« on: April 17, 2008, 09:35:37 PM »
I know a lot of you probably dont eat any of this junk...because most of you are older than I am.  What is your favorite "Kid" cereal?  I have two actually, but I very seldomly eat them for breakfast...usually for a snack, like right now..lol  I just finished off a bowl of one my favorites....Cocoa Pebbles.  Another one of my favorites is Cap'n Crunch Berries.....mmmm yeah...

So what is your favorite?

For me, smkoing a bowl has an entirely different meaning.

Well, having a 7 & 9 year old, our pantry has it's fair share of kids' cereals. Gotta admit, the sweet cereals are good every once in a while. Although there's a lot of new stuff out there, can't beat Kellogg's Frosted Flakes. As Tony the Tiger says, They're Grrrrrrrreat!!!

On a side note, the Lovely Mrs. Schro used to work for Quaker Oats in their Cedar Rapids plant in Quality Assurance. You knew when they were making cereals. She said the Captain Crunch Peanut Butter Cereal made the plant smell awesome.

Quaker Oats! If you took a piece of paper and ate it you would get the same effect. No flavor whatsoever. My favorites are Cheerios, honey nut and plain, without milk of course, Frosted flakes,Captain Crunch,Lucky Charms, trix, fruit loops and most of the other kids cereals.

Quaker was the name of the company she worked for. The plant there would make all sorts of different cereals (all Cap. Crunch, Quaker Squares, Quaker Oat Bran), just re-tool the manufacturing process for whatever you're making that day.

Can't beat Sugar Pops in my book for a "kids" type cereal.  Otherwise it is good old Raisin Bran or Cheerios.
