Buudy, youhave just gone from "Dud" to "Stud"!

(And I have to be honest; NOBODY was a good looking "Monk's Fringe". (What you called a "horseshoe").  The only good looking horseshoe is in the middle of a high and tight military flattop!
what's wrong with the shape of your head?  It looks perfectly fine to me !

whether you should let your hair grow or shave it slickweek is totally up to you.   well I can't make a definitive decision based on this is one photo it does look to me like your hair loss is pretty advanced of people probably noticed it more than you thought .

but what matters is what makes you happy.   if you're having trouble letting go of your hair well then I guess you better keep trying to coax it along.  But, on the other hand, if you want to get the monkey off your back and not have to worry about it anymore - break out the razor!
Do you think I should stick with my hair for the time being though? No one knew I was balding, just thought I'd try something different.
Ok guys, thank you!

I was told I have a nice head shape, minus that one person telling me I looked like an egg.
But if you guys think it's fine, then that's good!

You really rock the smooth look.  Ditch the hats and show the noggin off with pride and confidence.

Welcome! What a change for the better, you took a few years off of your appearance. Don't be too hard on yourself, we tend to be nervous about certain changes in our lives, but in time you will own the sly look.
Welcome! I think your headshape is fine, nothing to worry about.

The new look is cool.

It's been raining around here lately. The raindrops on a bald head feel just as cool as cold water.

Give it 30 days and you'll get used to the new feelings. Before you know it, you'll be five years in and still enjoying the smooth head.

Looks good. Shades aren't bad either.

Don't feel bad my wife walked on on me after 20 plus years of marriage for a guy that was half her age so I know what it can do for your confidence especially believing in women again. Theb est thing you can do for yourself is take control of your life starting now and do what you feel makes you feel more confident as a man. Be it working out and getting shape, going sly and feeling better about yourself and just getting out there and not being secluded in your home. If you do these things and discipline yourself and first become happy with who you are and realize you are not here on earth to impress anybody that will show your ex what she is going to miss. Women either like confident men or they hate them because they can't control them so either way your good. I spend all my time at the gym and now that I shaved I got some nice compliments from some of the men here that helps improve my self esteem. Trust me, after awhile when your wife see's how confident and self suffcient you've become she will be jealous but tell her..sorry, your loss honey.

I appreciate the comments and believe me I want to it's more the back of head where I have some reddish spots going on that I hesitate. I have this scab that won't heal no matter what and have to have it looked at along with the other things so I'm hoping it's no a a sign of skin cancer. I'm happy with the front and top but the back top is where I have the issue. Maybe I can get a descent photo not sure. Then again, maybe I've so self conscious all these years I'm imagining things. :-X
