A Child's Smile Can Make Your Day
« on: August 10, 2015, 04:53:34 PM »
I was on a bench in the hall working on a case with a young woman this morning. She had brought her two-year-old son with her. The boy was doing the usual fidgety activities of a child his age, but was not causing too great a distraction.

As I was leaning over to explain some paperwork to Mom, I heard a giggle and felt some slightly sticky fingers rub my scalp. I looked up to see the boy's huge grin and bright eyes looking at the top of my head. I couldn't help but laugh. Mom was mortified and apologized profusely. I told her it was OK, and that we bald guys are somewhat accustomed to that happening.

When Mom and I finished our work, and she and the boy were leaving; he turned and gave me a big smile with a good-bye wave. It is experiences like this that make me like that bald dome even more.

(And yes, I washed my head soon after.)

I wouldn't be surprised if the kid joins our board in about 16 years!

Thanks for sharing a funny story! Brought a smile to my face on what has been a crappy day so far.

Something like that can certainly brighten a day.
Hair is over rated.
