Bachelor Parties and Birds
« on: November 20, 2015, 01:00:54 PM »
A new husband was asked to be the best man at his friend's wedding. Naturally, this meant he was in charge of the bachelor party. On the night of the party, he promised his wife that no matter how wild the other guys might get, he was going to stay sober and would be home no later than midnight.

Riiiiiight.

The hours passed, the action got wilder, and the shots flowed.  Around 3 a.m., the loaded husband managed to get his key in the front door and stumbled inside. He realized that all the excuses and stories he had thought up to explain himself were not needed as it was obvious his wife had gone to bed.

Just then, however, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed three times.

Fearing his wife would wake up to the noise, he quickly decided to cuckoo another nine times to make it appear to be midnight, and let out nine cuckoos. He was really proud of himself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution to escape a possible conflict with his wife. To make sure he did not wake her, he decided to settle back in the recliner and sleep there. He could make up some story about falling asleep reading.

The next morning, his wife woke him up and asked what time he got home.  The husband answered it had been a little after midnight, but he had not wanted to wake her when he got in.  The wife didn't seem upset off in the least. The husband was much relieved.

Then his wife stated, "We need a new cuckoo clock."

Surprised, he asked why.

She replied, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times, then said  'oh sh*t,' cuckooed four more times in a low octave, cleared its throat, cuckooed another three times in a falsetto, giggled, cuckooed twice more, smacked its leg on the corner of the coffee table, then farted before it started snoring."

Good one.
The funny thing is, I'd buy a cuckoo clock that actually did that if I could find one...
