Whole State Power Outage
« on: September 29, 2016, 03:37:32 AM »
Dunno if you guys heard,
but last night the whole state of South Australia had power out (more than the state of Texas, nearly 1 1/2 bigger) was quite interesting. So many people freaked out.

What's some of you guys best blackout tricks?

I don't know how things work in OZ, but when that kind of kind of thing happens around here the birthrate seems to explode nine months later! 😘😂

That's a big area - it was reported in the New York Times.

The last big outage we had was four years ago when Superstorm Sandy hit, followed by an early snow storm less than a week later.  We lost power for about 24 hours in each case, but some people were without power for two weeks.  The gas still worked on the stove, so we used that and the barbeque for cooking.  In truth, "colonial" living gets old really fast!
