Hello
« on: May 25, 2016, 12:50:14 PM »
Hello everyone.

I'm Matt. I'm currently 20 years old, and have found that I love the look and feel of being BBC. For the last 4 years I would no guard buzz my hair at the beginning of summer, and keep it at about a 2 for the rest of summer. This year around, after buzzing it down with no guard, I decided  to try taking a razor to it. I'm about a week into do this, and I love it.

I do have a couple nasty cowlicks that I have found make it difficult to get a nice shave. Any tips on being able to hit those better would be appreciated.

Welcome, Matt! Always a pleasure to meet BBC guys. I guess the best way to deal with cowlicks is by experimenting (I never had any)

Hi Matt, BBC here too. I have the common cowlick at the top back of my head. All you can do is shave from multiple directions. While you're shaving, feel the area with your finger and shave against the grain. You might never get it perfectly smooth. Welcome to the shaved head club!
Bald by choice, and loving it!

Welcome, Matt.  My experience with cowlicks has been quite like reddog's.

Welcome, Matt.

My double crown was gone long before I shaved, but Reddog's advice sounds right.

Thanks for the responses. I think I was able to get them a bit better this morning.
Lately I've been tinkering with the idea of a piercing, but since I have just started regularly shaving my head, maybe one big change at a time is better.

Hi Matt!

Welcome to the board.  I have a cowlick both on front and the crown.  The one in the front only goes in 1 direction, so that's easy.  The one  on the crown grows in multiple directions, so I have to shave all around it.  I shave from probably 6 directions.  I can usually get it smooth, but sometimes I do miss some.  It takes a bit of experimentation.

The one at the crownmust be pretty common. I have it too, and as several have said, i have to shave from several directions to get it all. Kind of annoying, but neccecary for us bbc guys. Or those whose hairloss hasnt yet reached that area i suppose.
