Should I buzzcut?
« on: September 16, 2016, 05:33:23 PM »
Hi guys,

So I'm not necessarily losing hair, nor have I ever. The only reason why I want to contemplate buzzcuting is because I have quite a large forehead and high hairline, combined with straight thin (fine) hair, it looks ridiculous and downright unappealing. If I was blessed with thicker hair, I wouldn't really have a problem but because of the size of my forehead, I don't really like how my hair looks. I grew my hair out a couple of years back, but opted for a shorter look as I got older as my facial features defined and I bulked up quite a bit from the gym, so the longer hair look on thin hair just does not suit me at the ripe age of 22.

I was considering maybe going for the WWE Wrestler John Cena look. He has good facial features, therefore I dont know whether it would suit me. I was going to #1 buzzcut back on side, and #3 on top. My hairline is straight across, but I'm worried because of the size of my forehead, it just will not look good for my facial shape.

Just needed some advice really. If I didn't have such a big forehead, I'd probably have a decent amount of hair, but because it's quite big and my hairline is high, it doesn't really look all that good! Thanks for advice. Pics below:

honestly mate, there isn't anything wrong with your hair or your hairline, that also being said headshape really isn't a roadblock to shaving/buzzing for 99+% of people who think that, and I don't think you are an exception to that rule in any shape or form (this is coming from someone who if they grew out their fringe it would still be on the back of their head)
God created only a few perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair!

Mate, you have lots of hair. A buzz cut or a shave is just a haircut so if you are curious just try it.  If you don't like it it will grow back.

I also have a very high forehead, at least I did.  When you have a close buzz or shave your forehead kind of blends in with the rest.  If you look at my profile picture you'll see what I mean.  When you have hair the size of the forehead is, IMHO, more noticeable.  If you want to try it go ahead.  Once you get used to the buzz you might want to try going even shorter, and, eventually maybe even try a nice smooth shaved look.  I think it would look good on you.

You would look good with buzz cut.  That was my preferred style before shaving.

No harm in trying i..You can always grow it back if you don't like it.
