Sounds good Warhawk,

Do you find refrigerating the witch hazel helps?

Hi Lynchy:  I absolutely find refrigerated witch hazel gives an added boost to my routine.  The cooling effect/feel is priceless.  I also refrigerate the Osage Rub on the days I do not use the witch hazel.

Hey everyone!

This mornings shave was;

Merkeur HD
Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
MWF
And TGN brush

Finish with Razorock Alum and TN Dickinson witch hazel as always.

It was a nice shave, haven't used the Fat for ages, it gave a great lather. Nice 3 pass shave with no irritation. Nice way to start the day.

Head shave;
HB sport and Headslick.

Fist time with the headslick, the menthol kick was nice. I did find it super slick which helped.

I typically shave the head then shower, exfoliate my head, then face shave. So it being brushless really aids in the process!

I actually had a really great shave, head was super smooth and no irritation.

Face shave only today, very relaxing it was though.

Razor: pal injector with schick blade
Soap: Mike's Peppermint and something...maybe Rosemary.  Warhawk will know!
Brush: Dachmann badger
Followed by witch hazel and Boots Fresh Wood after shave balm, cheap but absolutely fantastic!

Yesterday's shave:

Face at the sink:

Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89L
Brush: My trusty Vulfix badger hair
Shave soap: RazoRock Classic
Blade: Shark... then a quick change to the Astra SP

My Edwin Jagger DE and Vulfix brush are just great shaving tools. Love them.

This was my first shave with the RazoRock Classic. Yet another great RazoRock product. The scent is very much like the Cella soap that I love. An almond scent... VERY nice. If you don't know this scent... you will love it. It's classic and delicious. THe lather with this soap is outdtanding and provides great cushion and glide. I love this soap. How Joe brings outstanding shave soaps like the RazoRock line to us for the reasonable prices he has.... I just don't know. I may be the biggest fan if the RazoRock line of soaps. This is the second I have tried an both are outstanding. I have a third waiting in the wings to try out. This soap geta a 10 out of 10 from me. Great scent, great performance, and great price!

Notice that I said I changedd blade during my shave. This was my first shave with the Shark blade. I took a swipe and it was terrible. I took a second swipe, same result. I didn't like that blade at all. It was a brand new blad ebut I took it right out of my DE and re[placed it with the Astra SP. Ahhhh! Now that's a good blade.

Great shave with the above tools and products usingv the Astra blade.

I finished my shave with a little dab of BeeBald Heal rubbed into my face. On the head.... a little dab of BeeBald Smooth spread around and rubbed in.

Thanks Mel!

Today's shave was as glorious as ever, but no pic, sorry guys I had to do it between stages of preparing Xmas dinner....Christmas isn't a holiday in Japan so we're having dinner a day early as it's a public holiday.

Razor: 37C slant razor
Blade: Polsilver
Soap: Cella  (the discussions on here of late pulled me back to it, and it was fantastic!  Also used Vitos pre-shave after my shower.
Brush: Omega boar

Dessert was the usual witch hazel followed by the frequent Razorock aftershave wax.

To make up for the lack of a photo earlier, I wanted to show my new razor I received today, a Merkur Progress.  Looking forward to using it tomorrow as I already shaved this afternoon!

Hi Brian:  Congrats on the Merkur Progress.  As you know that is my next razor after Christmas.  The Progress intrigues me and I cannot wait to get one.  I have heard nothing but positive praise on this adjustable razor. :@`

Brian.... I cannot wait to hear your review of this razor.  I know you cannot wait for your shave.  I hope it is a great one.

I just finshed my Christmas Eve shave!

My Edwin Jagger DE and Vulfix brush of course!

At the sink:

Blade : Astra SP (I've come to appreciate this blade more and more. I wasn't a fan at first but as my technique has gotten better I like this blade a LOT more.)

Shave Soap: Cella (One of my very favorites. Just an outstanding product.)

I had an amazing, relaxing, and time consuming shave. I love taking my time and just enjoying the DE, the fine shave soap, and the oh so sharp blades.

I got a British Flair tip for Christmas off my Parents.

So my Christmas shave was:

-Flair tip
-Gillette 7O'Clock Yellow
-Connaught Spearmint Cream
-TGN brush

Was a decent shave, was worried about the new razor as I love my 34C but this was great. Will need more practice before I can get BBS but I'm happy to add another razor to the stable!

Finished up with Alum and Witchhazel and some Body Shop Kristina Balm (gift from the wife)

Not a bad way to kick off Christmas Day IMO!

Merry  Christmas SOTD, December 25, 2012

Hi gents:  I had a very relaxing, super, BBS face (sink) & dome (shower) shave today using my beloved slant razor (Merkur 37C).  I paired it up with the Polsilver Super Iridium blade & it was magic.

b

Boxing Day shave, with two days growth because I wanted a little more to work with before testing out the new razor.

Razor: Merkur Progress
Blade: Polsilver
Soap: Tabac
Brush: Dachmann badger, given to me as a secret Santa gift at work
Dessert: witch hazel followed by Razorock AS and 444 balm

This was my first shave with the Progress and so I'm still unsure about adjusting the setting on it to suit my face.  That said, I adjusted a few times between passes and was rewarded with an irritation free BBS shave.  Lovely stuff!
