hello from wales
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:03:39 PM »
quick hello to everyone here. came across the site recently and decided to join. already have taken on board some good advice etc.

my story - started going bald probably from 23 on my crown nothing too major. by 30 it was becoming very noticeable and i was becoming very depressed about it all.

At 31 i decided i using clippers and going to buzz it. waited until i had a 2 week holiday booked from work. night before i flew i went to barbers and had it down to a number 2. i wanted a 1 but was talked out of it by the hairdresser. over the next 2 weeks i liked my appearance and knew i had done the correct thing. I felt libberated

on my return my work colleagues all were fine and i had no problems at all. it was only when i saw some holiday pics i realised how balding i was on my crown.

Ever since i have purchased my own clippers and just used the blade discarding the attachments.

I originally found this site as i want to go shorter, i have just purchased the whal balding clipper and am about to use it for first time this weekend. hopefully it will be closer than my current clipper .

am building up to to go sly and will probably do that this spring/summer. however i personally don't actually mind the feel of stubble on my head which some of you complain about. i am very rarely clean shaved on my face so used to stubble etc.

anyway that's my story, will get some pics up soon.

drew

PS its true about feeling liberated, overnight my worries went away, i realised i was so hung up about my appearance it had dominated my life!!

Welcome, Drew!  I did the stubble thing for a long time.. with no guard.   I now razor-shave every three days.   (OK, I admit I went 5 days last time...lol).

Glad to have you with us Drew. Enjoy your progression to slyness.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.
