I'll agree that HeadShed is quite good also. I've got a couple of bottles and use it now and then to break up my routine.

But as I've acknowledged elsewhere, I am a frugal FrontierGuy (some accusations might term it miserly) ... and St Ives (10 ounces for $4.88 including tax at Wal-Mart) versus HeadShed (8 ounces for $8.41 on Amazon with free shipping) ... well, there's not enough difference between them to justify the 100% price difference (49 cents per ounce vs. $1.05 per ounce).

I agree, Headblade products are expensive compared to other products on the market that do the same job. I use Headshed cause I like it a lot, but that's it, besides of the S4 or Sport

Used the St. Ives last night and love it. From experience, when do you find the best time to exfoliate- before/after shaving? Or on off-times? Thanx again.

well I did it after as I'm smooth. Probably only do this once or twice a week.

I follow the same method.

Having a smooth noggin, you'd then have a perfect surface to really get at the dead skin and dirt you're trying to remove with the scrub.

Doing it before makes the hair softer and gives you a more comfortable and smooth shave. The HeadShed recommends doing it before for this reason.

I do it every morning, before shaving. Just not too aggressive. I've been using abrasive soaps for 30+ years, as recommended by a dermatologist in my youth.

Exfoliating before shaving is working best for me lately.

I suppose it would keep dead skin from clogging the razor.

I actually shave WTG, then exfoliate with St. Ives, then shave ATG. Great results.

I remember you posting this a while back. Thanks for the reposting. I tired it this morning and the results were very smooth!!!

Just talking with the bald pastor at church this morning. He apparently got some older HB exfoliant which he said had a cinnamon aroma. Then bought some new and it did not smell as nicely.

Called HB and they said that a vendor when out of business. The new vendor makes a slightly different product, thus the change.

So if you are familiar with the older HB exfoliant, the product has changed in the past year.

Who sells the St. Ives Apricot?

St. Ives can easily be found at CVS, Rite Aid and Wally World.
