My beard
You appear to have a very thick one coming in. Looks good.
How long have you had it so far?

I love the look of that beard, especially the pic with the hair bands in your avatar. It reminds me of mine before I cut it.  :'(

My beard

That's a nice looking beard there stn87, nice and thick.  It's bigger than your avatar so what are your goals with it?

Wow, Zet!  It is too long to fit in the frame of the photo now.

Agreed! The too-big-for-frame milestone is a good one!

Hey Rusty... so what's the plan for you after the big chop? Growing? Staying the shorter length?

I've tried growing a beard out but I didn't think it looked good on me.  I've decided to stay with the goatee.  I like the look and it's fairly easy to maintain.

Nothing wrong with sticking to what works for you, Lew.  Technically, you have a circle beard, but most people call it a goatee.  I kept the same style for around 20 years before going full beard.

Hey Rusty... so what's the plan for you after the big chop? Growing? Staying the shorter length?

After the big chop I gradually cut it back a couple more inches over the next few months but it was still on the long side compared to how most guys keep their beards, but short for me.  I probably cut the most from the sides, but then I decided I wanted a big beard again and have been letting it grow back out.  It's longer than it was after the big chop and I'm going to get it a bit longer, but I won't be going for terminal length any time soon.  I might someday because I know it can go beyond 30".   I may not have been blessed with the thickest of beards but I can definitely grow a long one.
