Question from a little girl
« on: January 22, 2014, 05:17:43 PM »
At the chiropractor's office today, a mom with four young girls came in.  The 4 year old asked me, "Why do you have an earring".

I explained to her (mom listening in).  Mom said, "That's a good reason."

Then the little girl looked at the other side ... and asked another question. "Why don't you have an earring on this side?"

I just laughed, as did those listening.

Just curious, what is your reason? If you posted it somewhere else I'm sorry >.<

Yeah, why don't you have one on the other side.  Symmetry man, symmetry!

From the mouth's of children!!

Reminds me when my older grandson was about four he asked me, very concerned, "why has your hair moved down from your head to your face".

I told him only very special men have that ability.

I am a teacher in an elementary school. I get questions like that from little kids every day. I think I will be using "only special men have that ability" as a pat response to most of those questions from now on! I think I can probably use that response with most of the questions my wife asks me, too! ;D

Yes, Red, I'm very into symmetry, but a left ear only is sufficient for me. A single earring is distinctly male, to me. Guys can wear two. But one is enough for me.

Out of the mouths of babes......but it's all in what makes the wearer happy.....It was kind of cute, though; thanks for sharing!

"why has your hair moved down from your head to your face".

For years I have said my hair did not fall out - it just migrated south. When I had the horseshoe melding into a full beard, the effect of that statement was more immediate, but anyone who has seen me in a swimsuit still gets the joke.

I like the special men have the ability angle.

So, MrZed, what was the reason?
