$40 Canadian is large!!!

I was thinking not even half of that would work to achieve my vision in the UK.  Do you think that my vision would work in Canada?

I get my head shaves for $0 in North Carolina. I do them myself. I don't usually charge myself. But it is nice to give myself a tip.

Seriously ... I never really thought of paying for a head shave.  I used to pay for hair cuts, but once I went with the clippers and buzzed ... no need to pay for that. Just do it yourself.

Can’t fault you for wanting to maintain the $0 budget and it’s hard to beat.  You are the kind of guy that will be the challenge for our new culture.  It may take a year, two years or may be more, but you’ll give in when the offer gets better and better as salons compete for your business just like they would for their cut and blow dry business.

The problem with EVERY salon shave that I've had is that they can't get as close as I can.  The procedure leading up to the head shave is great, but they shave always disappoints.

If you're going to be successful in your campaign you need to put up some videos of real people saying they get a smoother shave than at home.  Right now I'm super skeptical of your idea as there are no pictures of your razor, no information on how it gets a smooth shave, nothing...

I have paid $35 US plus a tip for a barber shop head shave, at an up-scale mall barber shop (The Art of Shaving).  I think that is OK for an occasional pampering (once per year or so), but would be cost prohibitive for routine maintenance.  The cost would likely need to be less than $15 or $20 US for guy to make it regular (once or twice per month).

I also agree with Tyler - they do not get as close as I can get myself, but their products used left me with a very good shine.

That's why I don't get barber shop shaves anymore.

To me, getting a barbershop headshave is like going to the casino..just like for every person that wins there are 99 people that lose...just like for every 100 barbershop headshaves only one may provide the desired smoothness we want. It is a chance that many of us sly guys like to take ever so often, though.

Tyler, SlyBeard, Sir Henry, Razor X, RSS114 and everybody, Just ONE Word, BRILL.  You confirmed that I am not crazy (or just not entirely crazy :D) and on the right track and I want to share my thoughts about what you have said.

Barbers don’t have much competition for giving you the best shaved dome experience and that explains the “gamble” to get a good job done by them.  They think that they need you more than you need them, and even come across as doing you a favour perhaps.

Most barbers have no impelling reason to improve their shaved dome service like they have for hairy heads.  So Razor X’s comment is valuable and happens a lot.  Barbers are tied to regulations to put knife to skin and risks losing their own skin through accidental cuts.

Technique and expertise has faded almost completely from the high street and those that remain will charge a king’s ransom for their services.  And without doubt, the experiences from the good ones are truly exquisite.

Tyler, you bet what we have will do a close a shave as you can and this includes behind the ears, the back of your head and all the difficult-to-shave ridges.  Plus the fuss they make on you inside a salon will make sure you can’t repeat the same experience back home.

This vision of mine is brand new, therefore not ideal.  So, the biggest struggle is getting my message meaningfully across before it exceeds your boredom threshold.

I figured as this vision is for everyone, I want to build up the people who share the same vision.  The success of the vision will be rewarded with the dawn of a new culture.  The culture chases the best barbershop/hair salon finish experience for the shaven domes.

The rewards for everyone involved have to be fun.  The expansion of the culture will be through socials, parties, exhibitions and conferences.  The other expansion path will be technologically progressed.  The success of the culture taking hold requires a critical mass of barbershop/hair salons offering a good market penetration of the shaven dome along side their “cut & blow dry”.

We have decided not to sell what we got into barbershops/hair salons but instead, installed free for them and focus on more soul enriching path.  Therefore for our journey, the culture stands better odds of taking hold within our lifetime.

So what do you see in my vision?
